WRD Inaugural Groundwater Academy

Water Replenishment District’s Groundwater Academy provides a comprehensive understanding of groundwater management and conservation. Tailored for elected officials and regional stakeholders, the three-session program offers site visits, dynamic panel sessions, and networking opportunities with industry experts. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, recognizing their commitment to safeguarding groundwater resources.

Sessions will take place on the last Friday of each month April-June. 

  • Opening SessionLos Angeles County Sanitation Districts Tour of the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant on Friday, Apr. 26 from approximately 10:00am-12:30pm
  • Session 2: Albert Robles Center for Water Recycling and Environmental Learning (ARC) on Friday, May 31 from 10:00am-12:30pm
  • Closing Session: Tour of LA County Public Works Spreading Grounds on Friday, June 28 from 10am-12:30pm. 

Every session's meeting location will be the Albert Robles Center for Water Recycling and Environmental Learning (ARC) located at 4320 San Gabriel River Pkwy, Pico Rivera, CA 90660.

Shuttles will be provided to transport to site visits and lunch will be provided.
