RSVP: Stormwater - Groundwater 101 Virtual Briefing

After the recent storms across Southern California, discover the benefits of all that rainfall in Los Angeles County. Join us for an informative virtual briefing highlighting how stormwater from these powerful systems is captured and transformed into a valuable local water supply — replenishing groundwater basins, strengthening water reliability, and building long-term resilience for our communities.

Participants will learn how stormwater is captured by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and conveyed to the Montebello Forebay Spreading Grounds, where it naturally percolates underground, replenishing the groundwater basins managed by the Water Replenishment District.

This briefing, presented in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, will guide you through how stormwater is captured and recharged into local groundwater basins — and why this process is essential to strengthening long-term water security and smart regional planning.
