Paul Liu is the Assistant General Manager of the Water Replenishment District of Southern California (WRD).  WRD is a regional groundwater agency that manages and provides up to half of the total demand for water to nearly four million residents in 43 cities within southern Los Angeles County.

Paul has worked for nearly 33 years in the water industry with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. He has experience in large projects and programs such the groundwater remediation program in the San Fernando Valley, Owens lake Dust Mitigation Program, Mono Basin issues, and most recently Pure Water Los Angeles.. Paul has worked extensively with various stakeholders throughout his career on complex water issues in a spirit of collaboration and achieving consensus.

Paul has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California. In his free time, he enjoys fishing at Mammoth Lakes with his wife and six kids.
