1. Where will the workshop be held? And will parking be available?
The workshop will take place at the Albert Robles Center (ARC) for Water Recycling and Environmental Learning: 4320 San Gabriel River Parkway, Pico Rivera, CA 90660
Parking is available on site. Please enter through the gate on Melita Street, where an usher will guide you upon arrival.
2. What should I wear to the workshop?
You have a long day of learning and networking ahead so ensure your clothes are both comfortable and professional.
Aim for slacks, khakis, collared shirts, light-weight sweaters, and closed-toed shoes (such as flats, oxfords, or loafers).
Avoid T-shirts, muscle shirts, joggers, ripped jeans, short skirts, short dresses, or open-toed shoes.
3. What should I bring to the workshop?
Ensure you bring your resume!
As part of the workshop, you’ll take part in both a resume review and a mock interview session. These activities are meant to help strengthen your resume and help build confidence for real interviews.
If you're unable to print your resume yourself, don’t worry! When you register, you can upload your resume and we’ll print it out for you.
You’re also welcome to bring a notebook or electronic device for taking notes during the workshop. We do kindly ask that you limit any distractions and give our panelists your full attention and respect throughout the event.
4. Is this a hiring event?
No. This is not a job fair or hiring event. The workshop is designed to prepare participants for a successful entry into the water industry.
However, the workshop does include time to network and connect with professionals from various water agencies and organizations.
We encourage you to bring extra copies of your resume and ask about any potential openings or internship opportunities.
5. Will food and drinks be provided?
Yes! Lunch will be provided at 12:00 PM, and water will be available throughout the event.
A few weeks before the workshop, keep an eye out for an email where you'll be able to let us know about any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or accommodation needs.
6. Is transportation available?
No. Sadly we are unable to offer any form of transportation or shuttle system at the moment.
7. Will there be opportunities to ask questions during the workshop?
Absolutely! There will be a panel discussion with a dedicated Q&A session. We encourage you to come prepared with questions you may have.
