Division 4
It is with great dedication and pleasure that I serve as Division 4 Director of the Water Replenishment District of Southern California . Elected in 2006, I served as Secretary in 2007 and Treasurer in 2008
Division 4 includes the cities of Bell, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Cudahy, Downey, Huntington Park, Maywood, South Gate and Vernon as well as sections of Monterrey Park, Montebello, Los Angeles and Walnut Park.
A strong supporter of our Water Independence Network, WIN, I believe that through sound stewardship and making use of our aquifers for water storage our region can become less dependent on imported water.
I have been employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District, Division of Adult and Career Education since 1997 and have worked in Jefferson Community Adult School, South Gage Community Adult School, Roosevelt Community Adult School and presently Huntington Park-Bell Community Adult School. I enjoy my job as a Career and Technology Education Instructor as well as my current assignment as Teacher Adviser/Technology Coordinator.
Presently I am also serving as Legislative Chair on the Metropolitan Section of the California Council for Adult Education, and as an advisory member in the Salvation Army Bell Shelter Advisory Board. I am also a proud member of the Water and Power Association.
I attended Heliotrope Elementary School, Nimitz Jr. High School, Bell High School, East Los Angeles and Cerritos College, Cal State Long Beach and completed my Teacher Credential Course-work at the University of San Diego.
